Sasayama Museum of History and Art
Only the inside of the wooden Sasayama District Courthouse, built in 1891,
has been renovated to house this art museum, and the exterior retains its
historic demeanor.
Displays of weapons, lacquerware, paintings and other works of art, and
unearthed cultural treasures attest to Sasayama's ancient history.. There

The Anma's museum
The Anma's house is the museum for historical materials,and we repaired
it as a little museum.
The Anmas was the name of the former dweller family.
This building was built about 160 years ago,and we call the period when
this was built "The Edo era".It is one of the buildings which
has some idea of its former lives of popular Bushi(Samurai).
In the museum,you can see ancient documents which have been handed down,and
dinner sets,clothes,funiture and armors which were used in daily life in
the Edo era.

Aoyama history village
Sasayama is the town developed as the castle town of Sasayama-castle.
Sasayama was governed by the Daimyo:the feudal lord and his retainers in
the Edo era.
There are old documents and printing blocks of the feudal clan in this
museum.
The pictures of Kano's sect and over 1200 printing blocks about Chinese
classics books,which are very few in Japan,are exhibited.
You can learn about the culture and history of the Edo era.

Tamba brewer memorial hall
Peaple say that Sake in Nada which is the most famous for producing the
largest amount of Sake in Japan is due to Miya-water,Harima-sake rice and
Tamba brewer.
There are many exhibitions of traditional sake brewing instruments.

Old Tamba Pottery museum
There are lots of Pottery which were made from about 700 years ago until
the last of the Edo era.
They are classfied by the periods,form and decorations.
